SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Lead Park Attendant or Designated Supervisor, the Park Attendant will assist in the daily operation of the park and its facilities. This includes a variety of landscaping and maintenance projects, maintaining cleanliness of the park and assisting and monitoring guests activities to ensure safety and compliance of park rules.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. General cleanup of properties and grounds as needed.

  2. Inspect Park to help ensure safe and proper conduct of patrons.

  3. Empty trash cans

  4. Pick up Litter

  5. Clean Rest Rooms and shelters

  6. Physical inspection of facilities and premises.

  7. Paint and power wash.

  8. Mow, edge, prune and weed.

  9. Maintain assigned equipment and notify Park Manager of needed repairs.

  10. Perform minor maintenance and repair to equipment, grounds and any park structures

  11. Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.

  12. Operate a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to mowers, weed eaters, chain saws, plant augers and drills.

  13. Demonstrate, coach and assist coworkers with unfamiliar tasks or equipment as needed.

  14. Clear snow and ice in inclement weather.

  15. Work in a safety aware environment.

  16. Work as a member of the team.

  17. Must meet attendance guidelines by reporting to work as scheduled with dependability and consistency.

  18. Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED equivalency required. No prior experience or training required, however any landscaping, grounds keeping, maintenance and repair experience is a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

None required.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

None required.

REASONING ABILITY:

Apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions. Deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Valid Drivers License is required.

TRANSPORTATION:

Due to the remote location of the properties, this position requires you to provide reliable transportation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  1. Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain, cold and heat.

  2. Ability to work at various heights and be able to access any reasonable portion of the properties.

  3. Walk 2-10 miles per day.

  4. Stoop, stand up and bend for up to 9 hours or more per day.

  5. Use hands, fingers and arms to handle, feel, reach, grip and pull.

  6. Lift 80-100 lbs.

  7. Leverage 50 lbs. of a walk behind mower over curbs.

  8. Use hand saw.

  9. Operate various lawn care machinery including mowers, edgers and similar.

  10. Possible exposure to chemicals and/or elements present in cleaners, agents and pesticides, or other hazardous chemicals.

  11. Noise level is generally loud.

  12. Flexible hours (weekends, nights, holidays).

DRUG FREE WORKPLACE:

SITE is a drug-free work environment. Employees may be tested for drug use at random intervals.
