Project Engineer – Heavy Civil / Site Development

Position Summary
The Project Engineer supports Project Managers and field teams in executing heavy civil and site development projects from start to finish, focusing on coordination, documentation, and day-to-day operations.
Qualifications
· 0–3 years construction experience (site development/heavy civil preferred)
· Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (preferred, not required)
· Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
· Bluebeam
· HCSS / HeavyJob (preferred)
· AGTEK (a plus)
· Strong attention to detail and organization
· Good communication skills and willingness to learn
Key Responsibilities
· Support PM and field team with daily project operations
· Manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
· Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
· Assist with scheduling and permitting (NPDES / SWPPP)
· Track quantities, production, and job costs
· Prepare pay applications and change orders
· Coordinate inspections, testing, and survey staking
· Ensure compliance with plans, specs, and safety standards
· Assist with project closeout (as-builts, final documentation)
