- Prepare general ledger account transactions and reconciliations with analysis to ensure the company’s financial records are accurate
- Manage accounts payable processes and related expenses, ensuring proper coding of revenue and expenses, including bank and credit card reconciliations
- Manage payroll financials processing and related programs to ensure transactions are recorded properly and compliant with regulatory guidelines and reporting requirements
- Support the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement close
- Assist in the preparation of deliverables for audit requests
- Ad hoc accounting projects as required
- Manage accounting records, including record retention
- Prepare and analyze information to support the budgeting process
- Track donations, grants, and other forms of funding, ensuring compliance with donor restrictions and organizational policies
- Identify, implement, and/or support process improvements within the team including training other team members as needed
- Provide accounting perspective and assistance on business development projects
- Perform monthly accounting duties and other duties as assigned
- Must be adaptable, flexible and able to maintain a positive outlook and work collaboratively within a team

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent
- Two years or more of experience working as a general ledger accountant; healthcare experience preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Suite, Expert level Excel knowledge and experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including, patience, empathy and compassion
- Effective communication skills, including high level of fluency in English (speaking, writing, and comprehension)
- Active listening, writing and reading comprehension
- Good collaboration and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail
- Familiarity with HRIS (Paycom)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License
- Desire to learn and grow professionally
