What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Nursing Assistant position at SISTERS OF CHARITY OF NAZARETH INC?
Summary/Objective: Under the direction of a RN/LPN, the Certified Nursing Assistant
provides nursing assistance to the SCNs of the Nazareth campus performing the following duties.
- Assist SCNs with daily living activities such as personal care, laundry, etc.
- Serve SCNs in a manner conductive to their safety and wellbeing.
- Take and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates as directed and report
- Provide walking assistance indoors and outdoors as needed.
- Assist with maintenance of hydration and nutrition needs of the SCNs.
- Follow established protocol for universal precautions and infection control.
- Responding to resident emergencies.
- Work with other staff to promote a friendly working environment.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and records.
- Visit with SCNs as directed to provide comfort and safety.
- Inform verbally and/or submits in writing any significant observation or change in a resident
- Other duties may be assigned.
