We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager for a hybrid contract in Austin, TX.
This position requires candidates to work onsite two days per week (Wednesdays and Fridays) and remotely three days per week. Local candidates only will be considered.
Responsibilities:
The Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating complex enterprise-level technical projects focused on data engineering, analytics, cloud platforms, and AI adoption initiatives. This role manages project planning, requirements gathering, business analysis, project execution, status reporting, budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and implementation activities across cross-functional teams. The Project Manager will support data engineering and platform modernization initiatives while ensuring alignment between business stakeholders, engineering teams, analytics teams, and AI program leadership.
Additional responsibilities include defining project scope, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and success metrics; facilitating communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders; managing risks, dependencies, and issue resolution; and maintaining project documentation including project plans, schedules, charters, and lessons learned. The role requires collaboration with data engineers, architects, developers, analysts, vendors, and business partners in support of enterprise data initiatives and advanced analytics programs.
The Technical Project Manager will support initiatives involving cloud technologies, enterprise applications, data warehousing, business intelligence, and healthcare-related data integration efforts. The role also includes coordinating activities across Agile and traditional project delivery teams while utilizing tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, and Smartsheet. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, leadership, facilitation, and communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for executive and business audiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10 years Required – Experience leading technical projects or programs in data, analytics, and cloud environments
- 10 years Required – Experience leading data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing initiatives from planning through delivery
- 10 years Required – Proven ability to manage business intelligence, big data, and analytics projects in complex enterprise environments
- 10 years Required – Experience supporting healthcare data initiatives; familiarity with standards such as FHIR, CCDA, and HL7 is a plus
- 10 years Required – Working knowledge of SQL and database technologies to support project planning, estimation, and issue resolution
- 10 years Required – Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for business and executive audiences
- 10 years Required – Proven leadership skills managing cross-functional teams, vendors, and complex project timelines
- 10 years Required – Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with data engineers, developers, analysts, and business partners
- 10 years Required – Experience defining project scope, objectives, milestones, timelines, and success metrics

Preferred Qualifications:

- 8 years Preferred – Healthcare industry experience preferred
