We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst for a hybrid contract in Austin, Texas.
Responsibilities:
Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing computer systems. Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, including forms of data input, data summarization, and report formats. Writes detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine whether requested program changes can be accommodated within existing systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing computer systems.
- 2 years of experience writing detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer systems.
- 2 years of experience reviewing computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine whether requested program changes can be supported within existing systems.
- 2 years of experience solving problems, scheduling, testing, installing, implementing programs, and troubleshooting computer systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting business process improvement initiatives.
- Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Knowledge of system implementation, testing, and user acceptance processes.
- Experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams.
