Position Summary
As a Brush Foreman, you'll lead the ground crew while safely operating CDL vehicles and coordinating brush removal, equipment operation, and job site workflow. You'll work alongside an experienced team to keep ground operations moving efficiently and safely.
This position is responsible for helping ensure the job site remains safe, organized, and productive. You'll work closely with groundsmen, bucket truck operators, and crane operators throughout the workday.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the ground crew throughout the workday
- Safely operate CDL vehicles and trailers
- Coordinate brush removal and job site cleanup to keep work moving efficiently
- Safely feed and operate wood chippers
- Operate chainsaws and other tree care equipment
- Load, haul, and process brush, logs, and debris
- Assist with rigging and rope operations
- Set up and maintain safe traffic and work zones
- Perform pre-trip inspections and daily equipment inspections
- Train and mentor newer crew members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Follow OSHA, ANSI, DOT, and company safety procedures
QualificationsPreferred
- Previous tree care experience
- Experience leading or supervising a crew
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience operating loaders, skid steers, or similar equipment
- Class A CDL
Required
- Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to lift 75 pounds repeatedly
- Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to and from our primary lot
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work safely and productively in a physically demanding environment

Schedule & Work Environment
- Monday–Friday
- Typical start time: 7:00 AM, which may vary based on season, weather, or job location
- Overtime available during busy seasons and storm response
- This position is physically demanding and requires working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and on uneven terrain
