Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment to maintain reliable plant operations.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures, identify root causes, and repair or replace defective components.
- Complete repairs, modifications, and equipment installations as assigned by Maintenance or Shift Supervisors.
- Conduct routine visual and auditory inspections of plant equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Fabricate and repair replacement parts as required to support maintenance activities.
- Install, modify, and improve plant equipment and machinery.
- Communicate equipment modifications and operational changes to appropriate personnel.
- Follow all plant safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, hot work permits, and closed system entry requirements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete assigned work orders.
- Participate in planned shutdowns, overtime, emergency repairs, and coverage for vacations or absences as needed.
- Work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and plant performance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all company safety policies.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical training equivalent to 1–3 years of applied trades education preferred.
- Minimum 1–3 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience, including equipment repair, fabrication, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of general mechanical maintenance, fabrication, and industrial equipment repair.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and equipment documentation.
- Knowledge of machine design and the ability to assist with troubleshooting complex plant equipment.
- Ability to successfully complete required maintenance skill proficiency testing within 120 days of employment.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation and work order management.
