Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced Electrician for a direct-hire opportunity in Dothan, Alabama. This position is ideal for a dependable commercial or industrial electrician who takes pride in clean, professional work and is interested in learning the building automation and controls industry.

Responsibilities

• Bend and install EMT, IMC, and rigid conduit.
• Plan and execute clean, efficient conduit runs on commercial and industrial job sites.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and construction plans.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and components.
• Use electrical testing equipment and tools to diagnose electrical issues.
• Collaborate with project teams and other trades to meet project schedules and deadlines.
• Follow applicable electrical codes, safety procedures, and industry best practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Participate in training to develop building automation and controls skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.
• Strong conduit-bending and installation skills.
• Ability to work with EMT, IMC, and rigid conduit.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Working knowledge of electrical theory, codes, and safe work practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a project team.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Able to pass required background screening and drug testing.
• Willingness and motivation to learn building automation and controls.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience threading rigid conduit.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician certification or license.
• Previous exposure to building automation, HVAC controls, low-voltage controls, or industrial automation.
