Position Overview
Sirius Staffing is seeking experienced Craft Technician (Industrial Maintenance Technician) for full-time, direct-hire opportunities in Columbus, MS. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems within a state-of-the-art diesel engine manufacturing facility.
The ideal candidate will have a strong industrial maintenance background with hands-on experience in PLCs, CNC equipment, motor controls, and automated manufacturing systems.
Key Responsibilities
*
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial manufacturing equipment and machinery.
*
Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on PLCs, CNC machines, AC drives, servo drives, and motor control systems.
*
Diagnose and resolve issues involving electrical controls, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic equipment.
*
Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain equipment reliability.
*
Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
*
Assist with equipment installation, modifications, and repairs.
*
Follow NEC, OSHA, and NFPA safety standards and procedures.
*
Work independently and collaboratively with maintenance and production teams.
Qualifications
*
5–7 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician, PLC Technician, or Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment required.
*
Hands-on experience troubleshooting and programming PLCs, drives, and motor controls.
*
Siemens PLC experience preferred.
*
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting capabilities.
*
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
*
Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical blueprints.
*
High-voltage electrical experience and training preferred.
*
Basic computer proficiency and strong communication skills.
*
Ability to work safely and independently with minimal supervision.
Education Requirements
*
High school diploma or GED required.
*
Electrical certification or completion of an electrical training program preferred.
*
Industrial maintenance or technical training preferred.
*
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Schedule & Compensation
*
Night Shift: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
*
Base Pay: $30.54–$36.72 per hour, depending on experience.
*
Shift Differential: Additional 12% for night shift.
*
