Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced Smart Grid Network Analyst to support the planning, design, implementation, and ongoing support of advanced Smart Grid Radio Frequency (RF) network infrastructure in the Tampa, Florida area. This role is ideal for a network professional with strong technical expertise in RF networking, switching, routing, and grid modernization technologies.
Position Overview
The Smart Grid Network Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting Smart Grid RF network infrastructure. This role includes monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, coordinating installations, and ensuring overall network reliability.
Work is primarily performed in an office environment with required field support during installations and upgrades. A standard workday begins at 7:00 a.m., with occasional after-hours and emergency callout responsibilities as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and implement Smart Grid RF network infrastructure based on project requirements and capacity plans
- Monitor network performance using Network Management Systems to ensure reliability and resolve issues proactively
- Install, configure, and update RF network hardware, software, and firmware
- Coordinate installation and support work with internal departments and contractors
- Prepare equipment for deployment (kitting, provisioning, assembly, and configuration)
- Maintain accurate documentation including configurations, site records, and network settings
- Evaluate and test new Smart Grid RF hardware and software solutions
- Provide support during storm response or emergency restoration activities
Responsibilities

Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, MIS, or related field preferred
Certifications (Required):
- At least one associate-level certification (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network , CWNA)
Experience (Required):
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on network implementation and maintenance experience
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of network infrastructure technologies
- Experience with switching, routing, DNS/DHCP
- RF networking hardware installation and maintenance
- Understanding of Smart Grid or grid modernization environments
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Standard business hours with a 7:00 a.m. start time
- Office-based with fieldwork required during installations and upgrades
- On-call availability for emergency response
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequent standing, walking, and handling networking equipment
- Occasional exposure to electrical or field-based environments
