Quantitative Developer

Job Title: (Python/React/AWS) Quantitative Risk Developer

Location: New York, NY or Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)

Duration: Long term

Practice: Digital Engineering / Data & Analytics with Risk domain background

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop responsive web-based UIs using React and Python (Flask/FastAPI).
• Build and maintain real-time data integrations using Kafka and message queues.
• Develop backend services and APIs with Python and Java for risk data processing.
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS using cloud-native services (Lambda, ECS, S3, etc.).
• Collaborate with Bank's risk and compliance teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.
• Apply strong software engineering principles including modular design, testing, and CI/CD.
• Participate in hands-on coding, peer reviews, and agile ceremonies.

Required Skills:

• 5 6 years of experience in Python and React.
• Strong programming skills in Python and knowledge of Java.
• Experience with Kafka, MQ, and real-time data streaming.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure automation.
• Proven track record of delivering hands-on coding projects in production environments.
• Strong learning mindset and ability to adapt to evolving tech stacks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to financial risk platforms or regulatory reporting systems.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and GitOps workflows.
• Experience with observability tools and performance tuning.
