Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IBM Netcool Developer to design, develop, and optimize event management and fault management solutions across multi-vendor network domains. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise with IBM Netcool/NOI, event correlation, alarm enrichment, automation, and system integrations within large-scale network environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop modules for event collection, normalization, and correlation across RAN, Core, Transport, IP/MPLS, and IT Infrastructure domains.
- Build and customize rules, probes, gateways, and policies within IBM Netcool/NOI platforms.
- Develop custom adapters and APIs for northbound and southbound integrations.
- Implement advanced event-processing logic including alarm enrichment, delay, suppression, deduplication, thresholding, resynchronization, and root cause analysis.
- Configure and optimize FM databases and message buses to handle high event volumes.
- Integrate FM systems with Inventory Topology, GIS, Performance Management, and Trouble Ticketing systems.
- Implement automation using NOI Runbooks, Ansible, and AI/ML-driven engines.
- Define and enhance fault correlation across network domains and conduct service impact assessments.
- Build event-driven automation and closed-loop workflows including auto-ticketing and auto-healing use cases.
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to enable predictive fault analytics, anomaly detection, and noise reduction.
- Contribute to developing AI-based FM assistants for triage, prediction, root-cause analysis, and orchestration.
- Support data migration, alarm model harmonization, and integration blueprinting activities.
Qualifications
- Proven hands-on experience with IBM Netcool/NOI (required).
- Strong understanding of network technologies across RAN, Core, Transport, and IP/MPLS.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and NOI Runbooks.
- Familiarity with AI/ML-based event analytics is a strong plus.
- Strong integration skills and experience working with large-scale network environments.
