Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pipe Foreman to lead mainline utility crews. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a crew, ensuring the precise installation of pipelines, and maintaining the highest safety standards on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Crew Leadership: Supervise and direct mainline pipe layers and equipment operators to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Utility Installation: Oversee the proper installation of sanitary, storm, and water mainline utilities according to project specifications.
- Grade Control: Utilize pipe lasers, levels, and GPS equipment to ensure all pipes meet correct grade and alignment.
- Safety Oversight: Strictly enforce OSHA trench safety standards, including proper shoring, sloping, and use of trench boxes.
- Operations Management: Manage daily groundwork, including trenching and backfilling, and coordinate closely with excavator operators.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in deep trench work and mainline utility installation.
- Leadership: At least 2 years of experience in a foreman or supervisory role running utility jobs.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with pipe lasers and basic competency with smartphones/tablets for project tracking.
- Safety: In-depth understanding of OSHA regulations related to trenching, shoring, and confined spaces.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work in trenches, and walk on uneven terrain.
- Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Salary: Typical range of $75,000 – $110,000 per year, based on experience.
