What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Lead position at SIP Manufacturing, LLC?
OBJECTIVE: Duties include but are not limited to overseeing the day-to-day task of production employees. Ensure the work area is set up properly to run accurately and efficiently throughout the shift.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Report any issues or deviations with the machinery/equipment, and/or personnel to production supervisor. Be sure to keep clear line of communication using company messaging platform i.e., slack and emails. Do not make any process changes or deviations without permission from Production Manager.
• Provide work direction to and monitor performance of all operators in department.
• Assist the Supervisor to address day to day production issues, including staffing needs, material availability, and equipment status.
• Assist the Supervisor with product flow and organization in the production line.
• Follow and enforce all related quality, compliance, and Company policies and procedures
• Maintain good understanding of department performance goals including Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Safety.
• Identify and act on roadblocks that may prevent production line from achieving these performance goals by consulting the production supervisor
• Work closely with support staff such as Technicians, Manufacturing / Quality, Production Supervisor, Warehouse to resolve issues.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities.

7.- REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
Lift Up: 50 LBS, Forklift certified.
1-2 years of manufacturing management experience. Food manufacturing experience ideal.
Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations
Ability to plan and organize assignments, Basic math skills.
8.SAFETY HAZARDS
Electrical equipment – HIGH VOLTAGE – ALWAYS USE CAUTION around electrical hazards.
Moving parts – do not place hands or touch any moving parts unless machine is “locked out.”
Hot surfaces- do not place hands or touch HOT glue pots and pipes.
Lifting up to 50 lbs. – Always stretch before lifting & utilize proper lifting techniques.
Noise – use Hearing Protection (ear plugs)
Night shift
6pm - 6am on a rotating shift
