Insurance defense law firm is seeking a Coverage and Legal Writing Attorney with exceptional analytical and writing skills. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys deep legal analysis, complex case evaluations, and crafting high-level legal documents. The ideal candidate will support our litigation team by providing strategic legal insight and producing high-quality work product across a broad range of matters, including premises liability, personal injury, workers' compensation, auto claims, and maritime law.
This position will play a key role in preparing coverage opinions, dispositive motions, settlement agreements, trial and appellate briefs and detailed case evaluations.

The ideal candidate will support our litigation team by providing strategic legal insight and producing high-quality work product across a broad range of matters, including premises liability, personal injury, workers' compensation, auto claims, and maritime law.
This position will play a key role in preparing coverage opinions, dispositive motions, settlement agreements, trial and appellate briefs and detailed case evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and analyze insurance coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and denial letters.
- Prepare dispositive motions (motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment) and supporting memoranda.
- Assist with strategic case evaluations, including liability and damages assessments.
- Draft, review, and revise settlement agreements, releases, and related documentation.
- Conduct legal research and prepare complex legal memoranda and trial or appellate briefs.
- Collaborate with trial attorneys to develop litigation strategies.
- Monitor legal developments and prepare updates or alerts for internal and client use.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed and in good standing with The Florida Bar.
- 2 years of legal experience preferred; coverage and/or litigation writing experience a plus.
- Strong legal writing, analytical thinking, and research skills are required.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with CGL, auto, maritime, and workers' compensation insurance policies.
- Experience drafting summary judgment motions, coverage letters, and legal memoranda.
- Background in appellate work, law review, or judicial clerkship a plus.
