Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical histories to determine health status and needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate personalized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform procedures such as suturing and catheterization with precision and adherence to sterile techniques.
- Manage acute pain, perform triage in urgent care or emergency settings, and provide critical care interventions when necessary.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records.
- Engage in telehealth consultations to extend care access remotely while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Support specialized areas such as internal medicine or cardiology or geriatrics.
Requirements
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification to practice in the relevant state or region.
- Proven experience in medical office settings with familiarity using EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Athenahealth.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards for documentation purposes.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration; experience working with elderly populations is a plus.
- Knowledge of infection control practices, sterile processing techniques, and safety protocols such as basic life support (BLS).
Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
