Picture your shift starting with a review of prints, planning your setup, and dialing in a CNC turret punch press for the first cut. You set tooling, fine-tune offsets, and make smart program edits so every hit is clean and consistent. As parts run, you verify quality with calipers, linear measurements, and templates, adjusting on the fly to keep production on spec. You own the process from setup through in-process checks, and you wrap up by documenting results and prepping the next job.
What you'll do- Set up and run a CNC-controlled turret/punch press from first piece through production.
- Edit programs at the machine to optimize quality, speed, and tool life.
- Install, seat, and adjust turret tooling for accurate and repeatable hits.
- Perform first-article and in-process inspections using calipers, linear measurement techniques, and templates.
- Read and interpret blueprints to verify dimensions, features, and tolerances.
- Proficiency with CNC programming.
- Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Blueprint literacy and a keen eye for detail.
