SinglePoint Acquisitions Group is a rapidly growing land acquisition and project management services company whose skilled professionals strive for excellence in each of our unique projects with utility companies and real estate development projects.
We are seeking experienced Land Acquisition Agents who will work on our utility client's projects in Naperville/ Chicago, IL and surrounding areas under the supervision of a Project Manager. The position is not per-diem eligible but authorized travel expenses and mileage will be reimbursed. Our ideal candidate has 3 or more years of successful Right of Way Acquisition experience with utilities and/or municipal projects, is self-motivated, ambitious, detail-oriented, and capable to meet deadlines with limited supervision.
A background check and drug screen may be required by our client.

Job Duties & Requirements
- Conducts land rights acquisition tasks, including reviewing ownership records, valuations, construction plans, and related documents.
- Provides effective, professional effort to meet with property owners and other stakeholders to successfully conduct negotiations that serve our client's land rights acquisition goals.
- Thoughtfully resolves property owner problems in a professional manner.
- Makes recommendations of settlements and works toward agreement when disputes occur.
- Obtains and documents all title activities including tax records, title certificates/searches, condemnation title, curative and file management.
- Coordinates preparation of acquisition offer and easements documents with Contract Coordinator oversight.
- Skillfully prepares documents as needed and ensures precision in data and file input and documentation.
- Prepares files and progress reports accurately, timely and consistently
- If needed, assists at public meetings and may serve as witness in condemnation proceedings.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate acquisitions related to public improvement projects by utility companies.
- Knowledgeable in real estate and land rights practice, principles, and law.
- Knowledgeable in reading and understanding real property descriptions.
- Proven in reading and interpreting legal descriptions.
- Experience in making determinations of specific easement and property rights.
- Competent in examining engineering drawings, GIS records and other records for land rights information.
- Must be proficient in English speaking and written communication, with proper grammar. Bilingual Spanish is beneficial
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in use of Microsoft Office products
- Sound business acumen and ability to effectively communicate in writing, in person, and by phone.
Education
Required: Associates Degree or certifications/licensure/registration in real estate, right-of way professional, titles, appraiser, GIS or related field
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree and certifications/licensure/registration in real estate, right-of way professional, titles, appraiser, GIS or related field
Work Location:
- Work from a Naperville, Illinois based home office with ability to travel throughout the region as needed to accomplish project goals and requirements. Authorized travel expenses will be reimbursed but there is no per-diem arrangement with this position.
Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, occasional weekend work may be required.
