What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Singer Management LLC?
Maintenance Technician needed for 120 unit apartment community in Flushing. We are looking for motivated, self-starter who is looking to learn and work hard to establish a career and advance with our company. Maintenance Technician would need to be able to perform minor and routine maintenance, repairs, and tasks as directed. We are willing to train if you are eager to learn.
Job duties include but not limited to:
- Electrical and plumbing repairs (including water lines).
- Make apartments ready for new residents.
- Repair Tile, carpet, flooring.
- Change Door and mailbox locks.
- Make repairs in occupied apartments at resident’s request.
- Replace Interior/exterior lights.
- Repair/Replace Ceiling fans.
- Building maintenance: landscaping, snow removal, salting, trash pick-up.
- Work on ladders.
- Complete Special projects as needed.
- Install water heaters, garbage disposals, dishwashers, doors, ranges and refrigerators.
Requirements:
* Able to pass a background check & drug test.
* Available for after-hours emergency call outs and snow removal as need.
* Reliable transportation, may need to help at other properties.
* Work as a team as well as individually.
* On-line classes as required by Fair housing, done on site.
* Hardworking.
* Able to lift moderate weight, carry appliances upstairs with dolly.
