The Assistant Shipping Supervisor works under the direction of the Shipping Supervisor to load and unload items shipped and received between trucks and warehouses utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts. The Assistant Shipping Supervisor often must track inventory of items they load or unload with lists or computer technology equipment. They may sort materials, pack items for shipping, or check customer orders for accuracy.

Hours: Tuesday through Friday 7:00AM to 3:30PM and Saturday 7:00AM to 12:00PM

Essential Functions

• Available to work Saturdays, overseeing warehouse operations and staff to ensure efficient shipment preparation.
• Unload trucks, inspect and receive equipment and supplies deliveries utilizing power industrial equipment.
• Move inventory and materials throughout the warehouse
• Handle delicate and sensitive products with utmost care
• Process inventory for deliveries/pickups
• Sort, organize, and store inventory in proper location
• Package items and label correctly using FedEx shipping manager.
• Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors
• Stack and organize large bulk items
• Handle and operate necessary tools and accessories in maintaining and managing a warehouse
• Move materials from storage to pick-up area or other locations
• Ensure workspace is free of debris and remove safety hazards
• Keep warehouse premises neat and clean (indoors and outdoors)
• Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory
• Cross trained to provide PTO coverage for peers and supervisor staff
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Up to 3 years Warehouse experience a plus.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment.
• Ability to work closely with others in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and mentor warehouse team leaders on the day-to-day operations of the warehouse
• Computer experience, data entry, scanning technology.
• High School Diploma.
