Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Office Manager with a background in transportation/logistics, especially involving semi-trucks and trailers. This individual will oversee office operations, maintain accurate records and inventory, support HR tasks, and serve as a key point of communication across multiple plant locations. Professionalism, customer service, and strong computer skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Office & Administrative
- Oversee daily office operations.
- Maintain accurate inventory, production, and transportation records.
- Prepare and manage documents, reports, and internal communications.
Transportation & Logistics
- Coordinate with drivers, dispatch, and logistics personnel.
- Support scheduling, paperwork, and compliance for semi-trucks and trailers.
- Communicate with multiple plant locations to ensure efficient workflow.
Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service by phone and in person.
- Address customer inquiries with professionalism and product knowledge.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers and vendors.
Human Resources
- Assist with onboarding, documentation, and personnel support.
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Technology & Communication
- Use computers and software systems efficiently.
- Create and maintain reports and communications.
Qualifications
- Experience in transportation, trucking, or logistics preferred.
- Background in office management or administrative leadership.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, software systems).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional demeanor with customers and employees.
- HR experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
