Senior Real Estate Attorney / Counsel
New Jersey (North)
We’re looking for a strong senior-level attorney to work closely with a busy and highly regarded partner, providing trusted support while helping to develop and guide a team of junior associates.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on with sophisticated legal work, but also has the judgment, communication skills and confidence to act as a bridge between a busy partner and junior attorneys.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with the leading Partner on sophisticated real estate development matters
- Advise developers across residential, retail, industrial, and office projects
- Handle zoning, land use, approvals, permitting, and redevelopment matters
- Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, ground leases, development agreements, and loan documentation
- Manage multiple deals and coordinate with lenders, title companies, surveyors, and opposing counsel
- Work collaboratively with attorneys across redevelopment, corporate, tax, finance, and land use
What You'll Need
- 5-15 years of relevant real estate experience at a law firm
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Experience across real estate development, redevelopment, and related transactions
- Excellent judgment, organization, and ability to manage multiple matters
- Strong communication and client-management skills
- Interest in mentoring and developing junior associates
- Admission to the New Jersey Bar
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
