Description
Supervises student staff while working collaboratively with other part-time staff in all aspects of Conferences, Events, & Retail Operations to uphold brand image and standards, providing training as necessary on all job functions to student staff. Model behaviors of dependability, punctuality, detail-orientation, and adaptability in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment. [25%]
Support and execute the business plan combination of multiple cost centers for Conferences & Events, Copy Center, Kent Student Information Desk, Mail Room, and Spirit Shop. [25%]
Ensure quality of merchandise presentation and purchased product, and work with vendor partners as necessary to return and/or receive credit for products not meeting quality standards. [15%]
Ensure customer satisfaction. Effectively and appropriately communicate with diverse customers, including but not limited to campus administration, faculty, staff, alumni, students, and the community. [15%]
Demonstrate proficiency and problem-solving skills related to customer service and the effective operation of equipment, including but not limited to computers and applicable software, POS and printers, copiers, mail room equipment, etc., as it relates to job function. [10%]
Ensure cash and inventory controls through safe and cash drawer reconciliation and inventory management. [5%]
Demonstrate a high level of personal accountability, professionalism, initiative, and resourcefulness in accomplishing all tasks. [5%]
Qualifications
Some college coursework. Associate's degree (A.A.) or Bachelor's degree (B.A.) preferred.
Minimum 1 years of relevant work experience in a supervisory role in a retail environment.
Extensive relevant supervisory experience in retail (3 years) may be considered in lieu of college coursework.
