What You’ll Be Teaching
Depending on your experience and interests, you may teach:
- Lungeline lessons and introductory lessons for beginners
- English and Western fundamentals - mounted and unmounted
- Unmounted horsemanship group lessons
- Hunter/Jumper lessons
- Equine-Assisted Services and Equine-Facilitated Learning
You’ll work with a mix of youth and adult riders, including advanced riders, in programs that emphasize correct fundamentals, confidence, and connection with the horse.
Instructors Role
- Teach safe, engaging, and thoughtful riding lessons
- School horses and assist with show preparation as needed
- Support events and special programs throughout the year
- Contribute positively to a team-oriented, respectful barn culture
There is no requirement to travel with students. Coaching at shows is optional and based on your interest.
What We’re Looking For
- Prior teaching experience preferred
- Strong horsemanship foundation and safety awareness
- A positive, professional, and reliable teaching style
- Comfort working with youth and adults
- Riding video required with application
- Certifications are a plus, but not required
