What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Counselor position at Simply Empowered Counseling?
We are looking for Licensed Associate Counselors (LAC) or Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) who wants to start part time and build a caseload with the support of an established company. Supervision is included and necessary training to use management software. Pay is $40-$50 per session with the potential for bonuses.
Hours are flexible and will be discussed during the interview.
Duties:
Provide individual or group therapy using strength-based interventions.
Conduct patient intake assessments and develop treatment plans .
Conduct case management including documentation of client therapy notes, discharge planning , and and re-engagement outreach.
Develop goal-oriented psychoeducational and activity therapy groups to improve a patient's level of functioning.
Assess patient behavior, moods, and other responses to determine correct diagnosis and devise treatment plans.
Provide emergency response in crisis situations to diffuse tensions and prevent violence.
Organize clinical interventions and treatment plans for patients suffering from comorbidity of mental illness and substance use disorders.
Display sensitivity to cultural and linguistic needs of patients.
Display strong knowledge of cultural competence and ethics.
