Classification:    Full-time/Exempt

Summary / Job Objective:  Our Sr. Specialist handles complex contracting while serving as a subject matter expert for other licensing specialists, carrier relationships, and workflow management. This role is expected to lead by example in both execution and communication, consistently delivering best-in-class service to internal and external partners.

Essential Job Functions:  

Manage advanced licensing/contracting for advisors and sales consultants, mentor team members, serve as an escalation point, resolve routine L&C service issues, ensure timely processing and follow-up of advisor contracts, support and communicate with advisors and internal sales professionals regarding new business requests or escalations

Key Responsibilities: 

●        Review contracts for completeness, verify signatures, and proper forms

●        Upload documents into Salesforce

●        Communicate items not in good standing with the advisor or dedicated contact, and Advisor Development Consultants (ADC’s)

●        Submit contracts to carriers

●        Utilize other systems to verify agent licensing (NIPR, SIRCON, Clear Cert, SureLC)

●        Communicate updates effectively

●        Resolve processing concerns

●        Educate advisors and ADC’s on carrier requirements

●        Monitor pending requirements and update Salesforce for transparency across the organization

●        Document all communication and updates

●        Assist in training and mentorship of other licensing and contracting specialists

Qualifications: 

●        5 years of experience in annuity, life, disability and/or LTC licensing and contracting

●        Strong negotiation skills

●        Operational problem-solving

●        Advanced relationship management

●        Advanced licensing knowledge

●        Strong coaching and mentoring skills

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation (based on experience)

●        Annual base salary: $54,000-$70,000 / exempt

●        Annual performance bonus target: 10%
