Banbury/FCM Operator

Summary/Objective
We are currently looking for self-motivated individuals to join our plastics manufacturing team. For this full-time position, individuals must be reliable, willing to work overtime and willing to cross train. Machine operators will report directly to our Production Supervisors.

Essential Functions

• Follow work order instructions.

• Complete machine set up and perform various tasks: scoop color, move drums, connect equipment, adjust temperatures, turn knobs, push buttons, move sheets.

• Troubleshoot mechanical problems.

• Ensure proper materials are used.

• Utilize standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges and measuring devices.

• Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.

• Complete proper paperwork and tracking requirements.

• Follows safety measures and guidelines.

• Maintains 6S activities in the department.

• Works under direct supervision and in accordance with instructions and techniques.

• Communicates effectively with team members and supervisors.

• HS Diploma or GED

• Experienced in machine set-up, mechanically inclined & able to troubleshoot mechanical problems

• Able to use hand tools and measurement devices (micrometer, tape measure)

• Possess good math and computer skills

• Prior factory and tow motor experience a plus

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee must stand 8-12 hours per day and is occasionally required to bend, squat, climb, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift, push, pull or move up to 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8 hours. Additional hours may be required according to production demands.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position requires no supervisory responsibility.

Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
