Job Summary
Simi Institute for Careers and Education is the adult education campus for the Simi Valley Unified School District. We are bringing back our LVN course after a 10-year hiatus, due to the growing demand from our community. We are seeking a part-time instructor(s) to assist with the program re-design, accreditation, and teaching of our LVN Program. Work hours must be performed on campus within the normal operating hours of the school: M-Th 8am-9pm, F 8am-4:30pm, and Sat 8am-4pm.
Requirements / Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications: 1. Current and active California RN license 2. One of the following: >Baccalaureate degree from an approved school >Valid teaching credential >Eligibility for a Career Technical Education (CTE) teaching credential >At least one year of full-time teaching experience (within the last 5 years) in a state-approved RN, LVN, or psychiatric technician program >Meets California community college or state university teaching requirements 3. Minimum of two years of RN or LVN experience within the last five (5) years Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Qualifications: 1. Current and active California LVN license 2. One of the following: >Baccalaureate degree from an approved school >Valid teaching credential >Eligibility for a Career Technical Education (CTE) teaching credential >At least one year of full-time teaching experience (within the last 5 years) in a state-approved RN, LVN, or psychiatric technician program >Meets California community college or state university teaching requirements
