Crane Operator

Key Responsibilities
- Operate overhead cranes to lift, move, and position rebar
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of cranes and related equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries
- Coordinate with managers and other team members to execute lifting plans effectively
- Maintain accurate records of operations, inspections, and maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and report major problems to maintenance teams
- Ensure the work area is clear of hazards and that safety barriers are in place during operations
- Complete loading paperwork, as needed.
- Proven experience operating overhead cranes in industrial, or similar environments
- Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures related to crane operation
- Ability to operate forklift and switch tractor to load and unload rebar from trucks and other areas of the plant a plus.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle the demands of the job
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards
