About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Test Lead to lead testing initiatives for cloud-based applications and data platforms within a regulated Life Sciences / Pharma environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on test leader with deep expertise in GxP validation, ETL testing, data warehouse automation, and cloud automation testing.
You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, compliance, reliability, and integrity of complex systems, while mentoring testing teams and collaborating closely with cross‑functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of test strategies for cloud-based and data-driven applications.
- Design, implement, and maintain automation testing frameworks to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Drive ETL testing efforts to validate data extraction, transformation, loading, and reconciliation.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance in data warehouse automation projects.
- Develop and review test plans, test cases, scripts, and validation documentation aligned with GxP/CSV requirements.
- Perform risk-based testing in regulated environments.
- Oversee defect management: monitor test execution, identify issues, and partner with development teams for resolution.
- Lead and mentor QA teams to deliver high-quality results within aggressive timelines.
- Collaborate with business, development, and validation stakeholders to define testing priorities.
- Ensure adherence to STLC, SDLC, Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid methodologies.
- Stay current with industry best practices, tools, and regulatory standards in cloud testing and data automation.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10 years of software QA/testing experience.
- 8 years in regulated environments (Life Sciences / Pharma).
- Strong hands-on experience with GxP, CSV, and Validation Testing.
- Expertise in ETL testing, data warehouse validation, and data reconciliation.
- Proven experience in cloud automation testing.
- Strong knowledge of STLC, QA processes, and test management tools such as HP ALM / JIRA.
- Experience with functional testing of custom-built applications.
- Mobile testing experience is required.
- Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, JMeter, or similar.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience leading QA teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
