Pay Rate - $55-$60 per hour

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Architect with strong hands‑on experience delivering enterprise‑scale analytics solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role will own the architecture, development, and governance of Power BI semantic models and reports, built on top of a modern GCP‑based data and semantic layer.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with business, analytics, and data engineering teams, with a strong focus on performance, scalability, security, and business adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and design of enterprise Power BI semantic models, aligned with data standards and governance.
• Establish best practices for Power BI datasets, dataflows, and semantic layers on GCP.
• Build scalable, reusable, and governed BI models to enable self‑service analytics.
• Design and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets for performance and usability.
• Develop advanced DAX calculations, KPIs, and enterprise‑ready measures.
• Create and manage certified and shared datasets for organization‑wide consumption.
• Optimize performance using efficient data modeling, aggregations, and query folding.
• Integrate Power BI with GCP data sources including BigQuery, curated views, feature stores, and materialized views.
• Partner with data engineering teams on ELT/ETL pipelines and cloud‑native analytics architectures.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

• 8–12 years of overall experience in BI, analytics, or data engineering roles.
• 5 years of strong, hands‑on experience with Microsoft Power BI (Desktop, Service, DAX).
• Proven experience building and governing enterprise‑grade semantic layers and BI platforms.

Technical Skills

• Advanced expertise in:
• Power BI semantic modeling
• DAX optimization and complex calculations
• Power BI performance tuning and best practices
• Strong experience integrating Power BI with Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery and curated datasets.
• Solid understanding of:
• Dimensional modeling (Star / Snowflake schemas)
• Semantic layer concepts
• Data warehousing best practices

Cloud & Data Platforms

• Hands‑on experience working within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Familiarity with modern cloud analytics ecosystems.
• Experience collaborating with data engineering teams and large‑scale ELT/ETL pipelines.
