General Summary of Job Duties: The Labor Analyst is responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and optimizing workforce utilization across all operational departments within an integrated casino resort. In addition to providing data-driven insights and labor forecasting, the Labor Analyst is directly responsible for preparing, maintaining, and publishing team schedules. This role ensures efficient labor management by balancing business needs, employee preferences, regulatory requirements, and labor cost controls, while supporting exceptional guest service. The Labor Analyst works closely with HR, Finance, Operations, and departmental leaders to drive productivity and support compliance.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collect, analyze, and report on labor data from multiple departments, including gaming, hotel, food & beverage, and entertainment.
- Prepare, maintain, and publish employee schedules for assigned teams, ensuring optimal coverage in alignment with business demand, service standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop labor forecasts and staffing models based on business volume, event schedules, seasonality, and special projects.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly labor costs versus budget, identifying variances and making recommendations for corrective action.
- Collaborate with department leaders and frontline managers to ensure scheduling practices accommodate both guest needs and employee preferences whenever possible.
- Communicate schedule changes promptly and resolve scheduling conflicts, time-off requests, and coverage issues.
- Prepare and distribute regular labor analysis reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current labor scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll systems, recommending improvements where necessary.
- Support labor cost optimization initiatives, including overtime management, cross-training opportunities, and efficiency projects.
- Assist with compliance monitoring related to labor agreements, wage and hour laws, and gaming regulations.
- Participate in labor planning for large-scale events, new openings, or operational changes.
- Maintain accurate labor data and ensure data integrity within analytics tools.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and insights to support management decision-making.
- Performs additional analysis to support all departments of the Company.
- Presents analysis, findings, conclusions, and recommendations to key Executives specific to business and database marketing.
- Manages multiple projects effectively.
- Updates and distributes recurring reports and maintains historical work archives through the use of Power BI dashboards and data warehouse technologies.
- Identifies process improvement.
- Produces high quality documentation.
- Assist department heads with analysis and other reporting needs.
- Maintains an open line of communication with Leadership and the Executive team.
- Consults with stakeholders to understand business models, objectives, issues, and challenges related to labor.
- Maintains a high quality of guest service according to Silverton Values and Exchange Hotel Management.
- Maintains a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guest, fellow Team Members, and Vendors.
- Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.

Skills, Education & Other Requirements
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- A combination of technical and business experience.
- Bachelor degree required.
- Master degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years of casino experience.
