General Summary of Job Duties
Responsible for the surveillance of gaming operations and gaming support areas during assigned shift to promote a secure environment within Silverton’s philosophy, while maintaining emphasis on revenue protection.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain a high quality of guest service according to Silverton Values.
- Check for proper identification of a guest appearing to be under the age of 35 years old.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.
- Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards.
- Maintain an open line of communication with Managers.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guests, fellow Team Members, and Vendors.
- Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
- Regular attendance to all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.
- Arriving on time for all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Provides security and loss control of assets by monitoring all gaming functions and irregularities to the appropriate personnel as established by procedures.
- Maintains a video and audio library of property-wide activities for periods, as prescribed by in-house procedures and state / federal directives.
- Coordinates with Security personnel to provide optimum security services.
- Notifies the President and the Director of Surveillance of all pertinent information and significant observations concerning gaming and nongaming operations.
- Promotes the courteous treatment of customers and employees.
- Promotes and monitors the confidential treatment of all relevant information.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the direction of management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal laws relating to gaming operations and cash transactions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of gaming device operations and areas of potential monetary loss.
- Ability to detect cheating / theft related activities and take appropriate actions to protect funds and prevent further losses.
- Must have working knowledge of all casino games, slots, cage and count procedures and gaming regulations.
- Ability to detect suspicious activities and take appropriate actions to protect funds and prevent further losses.
- Ability to monitor radio traffic / incoming calls and prioritize observations with respect to potential losses.
- Ability to detect customer gaming activities designed to enhance player win potential.
- Ability to replace electronic equipment needed for daily activities within work area.
- Ability to write comprehensive reports.

Qualifications
Skills, Education & Other Requirements
- 2 Years prior Casino Gaming Surveillance experience.

- Nevada Gaming Registration
Machinery, Work Equipment, Programs, Software, Hardware Used
- Computer skills that allow the use of “Word”, “Access”, “Genetec”, “CVI”, Griffin and “Excel” programs.
