- Responsible for food preparation and prep for the next day's hot food items as designated, tray line, and assists with setup of special functions.
- Prepares continental breakfast on an as needed basis following prep sheet and provided recipes.
- Has latitude to cope with some problems.
- Confers with Executive Chef on unusual problems.
- Prepare and execute basic meals as needed.
- Prepares salads, desserts, cold plates, baked goods etc., according to production sheets and recipes.
- Cleans work area and equipment after each use according to proposed sanitation standards.
- Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices.
- Ensures that all items prepared are done in an eye-appealing manner.
- Responsible for preparation and portioning of specific special diet needs for tray line.
- Responsible for accurate distribution of tray line entrees.
- Delivery and set-up of special functions.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the Manager/Executive Chef.
- Works closely with all staff to ensure that all food preparation areas are monitored.
- Assumes responsibility for self-safety and that of immediate work environment.
- Attending annual in-service on body mechanics, right-to-know laws, and fire and safety procedures.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Comprehensive knowledge of good preparation and handling techniques.
- General knowledge of safety and sanitation rules and practices.
- Ability to work well independently given proper direction.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow provided recipes.
- Basic knife skills, stand for extended periods of time, lift 50lbs min.
