Position Description:

• Except as specifically noted, the following are considered essential to this position.
• Assist in the interviewing residents/guardians and obtaining required information and signatures.
• Admit and prepare identification records for residents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Admit residents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Maintain an accurate record of available beds.
• Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as other departments within the facility.
• Obtain the resident/guardian's signature on all required permits, releases, authorizations, etc.
• Attach preadmission documentation to admission papers as appropriate.
• Perform secretarial duties as necessary.
• Collect, assemble, and check admission papers. Forward to appropriate department.
• Obtain the resident's assigned room number. Place on all necessary admission papers.
• Maintain various registries as directed including register for admission and discharge of residents.
• Maintain current records of all residents admitted/discharged by this facility in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Perform miscellaneous duties and assist business office personnel as required/directed.
• When appropriate, provides care/service taking into consideration the age related physical and psychosocial needs of the resident/patient.
• Employee demonstrates knowledge of SCNR Compliance Program and reports concerns to management.
• Performs any and all such duties related to the effective and efficient operation of Silvercrest Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation as assigned.
• Adherence to the standards and mission of the facility as outlined in the Silvercrest Credo.

Qualifications:

• Experience in an Admissions department in a hospital or other healthcare setting
• High-level oral and written communication
• Bachelor's degree preferred
