Registered Veterinary Technician

Silverado Veterinary Hospital is growing and has an exciting new opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for skilled, outgoing technicians who want to fully utilize their education and expertise while making meaningful connections with clients and their pets.In this role, you will:Provide excellent patient care during surgical and dental procedures - including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recoveryProvide inpatient nursing care for hospitalized patientsReview treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity.Collaborate with your team to support the veterinarian’s orders during outpatient visits, ensuring the highest level of patient care.Schedule:This is a full-time position with a 5/8 schedule and availibility required for 1-2 Saturdays per month and an occasional half-day on Sundays.Full-time benefits and compensation**:Compensation: $28-32 per hour, for each hour worked*Bonus package: $2000CE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on tenureHealth package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance with HSA option and choice of United Healthcare or Kaiser PermanenteLife insurance, disability and 401k optionsEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable lawGreat team culture!Required qualifications and skill set:Current Registered Veterinary Technician License in the state of California3 years of veterinary experience in a clinical settingProficiency in the following skills:Venipuncture and cystocentesisPlacing IV catheters and administering injectionsRadiology positioning and techniqueIn house laboratory processing including microscopyAnesthetic induction, intubation and monitoringDentistry experience is desired but not requiredAbout Silverado Veterinary Hospital:Silverado Veterinary Hospital has been a local favorite since 1979.
