As a Bilingual HR Assistant, you will help ensure smooth human resources operations by supporting employee relations, recruitment efforts, recordkeeping, onboarding, and compliance activities. This role serves as a key resource for employees and applicants while assisting with the day-to-day needs of the HR department.
Key Responsibilities
- Support HR staff with administrative and clerical tasks
- Maintain employee files and HR information systems
- Process employment-related paperwork, including new hire and termination documentation
- Monitor and update driver DOT records and compliance information
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and requests
- Assist with hiring activities, interview scheduling, and applicant communications
- Coordinate training sessions, meetings, and HR programs
- Facilitate orientation for newly hired team members
- Generate reports and maintain accurate personnel records
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Complete additional assignments as needed
- Experience in Human Resources, recruiting, office administration, or a similar role
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Proficient computer and data-entry skills
- Working knowledge of labor and employment practices
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Professional communication and customer service abilities
