Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing friendly and efficient service. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that guests have everything they need for an enjoyable dining experience.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system, including Aloha POS and OpenTable.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining a high standard of presentation.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items to enhance the guest experience.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately while adhering to restaurant policies.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and service stations.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down dining areas for special events or busy shifts.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating bills.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS is a plus.
- Excellent guest relations skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs.
- Knowledge of nightclub environments is beneficial but not essential.
