What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Room Lead position at Silver Slipper Casino & Hotel?
Under the direction of the Guest Room Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for providing support to all activities associated with the cleanliness of all rooms within the Hotel.
Essential Job Functions:
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and SSC and departmental policies and procedures;
- Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees;
- Answer department phone and tracks requests and inquiries from guests and/or employees;
- Maintain records of room and property cleaning and room repair requests;
- Dispatch room attendants and/or inspectors to rooms to address cleaning issues;
- Notify appropriate person(s) in facilities/maintenance department to address room functional issues or repair requests;
- Manage key distribution to staff (supply and guest room master keys);
- Assist in scheduling employees, boards and room assignments;
- Assist in administration of safety program;
- Perform clerical duties as assigned;
- Stay abreast of current trends and practices within area of responsibility and communicate pertinent information to management, peers as appropriate;
- Promote positive public/employee relations at all times;
- Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility;
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations;
- Ensure prompt and discrete notification to management of any observation of illegal acts and/or internal ethics violations;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
