Laundry Attendant (Evening Shift)
Silver Oak Nursing & Rehabilitation Center – Marion, IA
Silver Oak Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and compassionate Laundry Attendant to join our team.
This position plays an important role in ensuring our residents have clean clothing, fresh linens, and a comfortable environment to call home.
Schedule
- Evening Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- Full-time preferred
Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing and facility linens.
- Ensure resident clothing is properly labeled and returned to the correct room.
- Deliver clean linens throughout the facility and replenish linen carts and linen rooms.
- Pick up soiled laundry and transport clean laundry in a timely manner.
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain laundry inventory and notify supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
- Keep the laundry area clean, organized, and sanitary by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting work areas and equipment.
- Follow infection control, safety, and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Assist with special cleaning projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous laundry, housekeeping, or healthcare experience is preferred, but not required.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle repetitive tasks.
- Must treat residents, families, and coworkers with kindness, dignity, and respect.
