Job Summary
This role combines supervisory leadership with direct clinical practice responsibilities. In addition to direct therapy, you will partner with other clinical leaders to ensure ethical, compliant, and high-quality care in accordance with company policies and applicable regulatory and professional standards. Responsibilities include clinician coaching and supervision, chart reviews, documentation training, monitoring client retention and feedback, and developing action plans and training programs to support continuous improvement. You will also ensure compliance with BBS supervision and ethics requirements, support timely and accurate documentation, and assist therapists with records-related questions.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Supervision
- Provide individual and peer coaching to clinicians to support professional growth, clinical excellence, and ethical practice.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure high standards of care, competence, and professionalism across the practice.
- Host and facilitate trainings as needed, including training programs for supervisors.
- Conduct regular chart reviews to ensure clinical quality, documentation accuracy, and adherence to best practices, and hold providers accountable through timely feedback, corrective action plans, and follow-up to ensure sustained improvement and compliance.
- Monitor client retention and review patient feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement in alignment with practice Key Performance Indicators.
- Develop and implement action plans based on aggregate and individual clinical review findings.
- Train new clinicians on documentation principles, clinical standards, and organizational policies and conduct ongoing performance reviews.
- Develop ongoing training plans and recommendations to support clinician skill development and compliance.
- Ensure continuing education and professional development align with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with BBS standards for supervision, ethical practice, and clinical documentation.
- Maintain oversight of timely and accurate documentation across all clinicians.
- Support therapists with records request questions and ensure proper handling of clinical records in accordance with regulations.
- Provide therapy services to a caseload of clients, maintaining a clinical caseload of 6-10 clients per week in addition to your supervisory role.
- Provide professional clinical services, including individual, couples, and/or family therapy including: completing diagnostic assessments, developing treatment plans, designing and applying tailored interventions, evaluating client progress, and providing referrals and care coordination based on client needs.
- Follow company policies, professional conduct standards, and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Timely completion of documentation and associated tasks to support billing and administration.
- Exceptional clinical and boundary-setting skills along with expertise in therapeutic interventions and treatment modalities.
- Ability to work productively and effectively, both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Licensed as a therapist in the state of California.
- Proven experience in clinical supervision and team management.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities.
- Dedication to maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
- Knowledge of diverse therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices.
