Construction Superintendent/Project Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee complex infrastructure and commercial construction projects from inception to completion. Duties

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Manage on-site construction activities, supervising subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to maintain productivity and safety protocols.
• Develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent project management software to ensure timely project delivery.
• Review construction plans, blueprints, and specifications thoroughly; interpret technical drawings such as Civil 3D files for infrastructure projects.
• Oversee cost management activities including estimating, budgeting, and tracking expenses using HeavyBid or similar estimating tools.
• Ensure compliance with all construction regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Utilize construction management software like ProCore, Bluebeam, Prolog, or Project Management tools to facilitate communication, document control, and project tracking.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies to resolve issues promptly and keep all stakeholders informed of project progress.
• Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and daily reports.
• Lead project team meetings to review progress, address challenges proactively, and motivate team members toward shared goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing heavy civil or commercial construction projects with a focus on infrastructure or complex facilities.
• Strong proficiency in construction scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project; familiar with construction estimating software like HeavyBid.
• Extensive knowledge of construction regulatory compliance standards and safety protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately; experience with Civil 3D is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing diverse teams in fast-paced environments.
• Skilled in managing project budgets, cost control measures, and procurement processes using Procore or similar platforms.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
