Job Summary:
Silver Fox Staffing is seeking reliable and energetic individuals to join our team for the upcoming KubeCon CloudNativeCon 2026 conference in. This short-term, paid engagement offers opportunities to work in a dynamic, professional environment supporting a major technology event. Staff members will assist with various roles including room monitoring, wayfinding, ushering, and store support. The position requires commitment to scheduled shifts, starting at $17 per hour, and provides a chance to be part of a prominent industry gathering from November 7-12.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor session rooms to ensure smooth operation, manage capacity, assist speakers, and facilitate microphone use
- Guide attendees through the venue, manage traffic flow at key points, and provide directions
- Assist with seating arrangements and entry management for keynote sessions and high-attendance events
- Support the official merchandise store by assisting customers, handling sales transactions, restocking inventory, and maintaining organized displays
- Maintain professionalism, stay attentive to safety concerns, and communicate effectively with team members throughout shifts
Qualifications:
- Comfortable working in a professional conference environment with a focus on customer service
- Able to stand and move for extended periods
- Strong situational awareness and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Prior experience in conferences or venue operations is a plus
- Professional appearance and demeanor required
- Reliable, punctual, and energetic with excellent communication skills
