Job Summary: As a Merchandise Lead, you will supervise and coordinate activities of workers in a retail shop and provides leadership in the overall shop’s activities of a quality and nature that will result in meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
This is a Seasonal position with full-time hours.
This position begins 5/1/26 and ends 9/7/26.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Assigns duties to workers and schedules break periods, work hours, and vacations
- Trains workers in company policies and procedures as well as job duties
- Maintains harmony among workers, resolves grievances, and focuses on solving conflict, not blaming
- Gives appropriate recognition and performance feedback to subordinates

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversees recorded delivery of merchandise, compares record with merchandise ordered, and reports discrepancies to control costs and maintain correct inventory levels
- Inspects merchandise to ensure that it is correctly priced and displayed
- Recommends additions to or deletions of merchandise assortments
- Assists team members in all functions pertaingin to the POS system
- Ensure proper handling of customer credit card information in compliance with property Purchasing Card Industry (PCI) standards
- Proves to be exemplary in providing outstanding customer service including answering questions, responding to requests, and selling merchandise
- Must be able to manage difficult or emotional customer situations
- Keeps record of sales, prepares an inventory of stock, and orders supplies
- Reports potentially unsafe conditions
- Effectively performs PIC/Host duties as requested by management
- Exhibits confidence in self and others; Inspires and motivates others to perform well; Effectively influences actions and opinions of others; Inspires respect and trust

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all u nits of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of US Dollars.
- Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Able to communicate efficiently
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Education and Experience:
- One to two years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
- Previous retail supervisory or leadership experience is required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and/or move 15 pounds frequently to 50 pounds maximum
- Ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, and concrete continuously
- Ability to work in extreme weather occasionally
- Ability to remember locations, understand and carry out instructions continuously
- Ability to work at a rapid pace frequently
- Ability to frequently use equipment such as a Point of Sale (POS) cash register, hand cart, screw guns, etc.
