Logistics Coordinator
Silvaris Corporation is looking for a motivated team player to join our company as a Logistics Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a designated region procuring trucks to ensure delivery of customer orders from this region. The individual will work as a member of the Logistics Team supporting a team of 70 sales personnel while ensuring the company goals are achieved.
Responsibilities and duties:
- High phone and email communication volume.
- Work with existing carrier base plus develop new carriers.
- Clearly and concisely explain company expectations to carriers, verify information, and troubleshoot issues between multiple parties.
- Cross-border (Customs) documentation.
- Arrange intermodal shipping.
- Actively contribute to the Logistics Team improvement initiatives.
- Pro-actively work with sales staff . Including: providing rate quotes on request, clarifying load details, and informing load owners of any changes to or problems with the load in a timely manner.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High comfort level with standard business and web-based software programs.
- Energy and Can-Do Attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking.
- Strong rate negotiation skills.
- Ability to prioritize work load.
Bonus Capabilities/Experience Include:
- Truck Dispatching.
- LTL/FTL Truck rate negotiating.
- US/Canada Border documentation.
- Rail/Intermodal experience.
- Customer Service.
- Truck driving / Truck loading / Warehousing experience.
