Enterprise Database Services Unit (EDSU) provides technical expertise and support with database management and security assessment & accreditation. EDSU assists FBI customers with implementing relational database solutions and securing Authorization to Operate (ATO) for mission critical systems. EDSU's service portfolio includes Oracle Database as a Service (ODaaS), Enterprise SQL Server Database Services (ESDBS), Security-Threat Assessment and Review Services (S-TARS) and Rapid Application Deployment and Resilience (RADAR) services.
The Cloud Developer is responsible for developing the cloud service delivery models and architectural framework to enable Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Data as a Service (DaaS). This role requires the ability to implement automation for cloud resources using DevSecOps best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
•Develop and implement cloud applications and migrate existing on-premises applications to the cloud.
•Analyze applications and provide recommendations for platform migration, deployment into a cloud environment, and optimization.
•Provide strategies for failure/recovery, cost optimization, and benefit analyses for cloud, cloud-agnostic, and on-premises services.
•Manage policies for cloud service usage, new technology requests, and ensure the establishment of a secure cloud environment.
•Ensure appropriate availability and uptime design for cloud services.
•Work independently to design and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing cloud software.
•Debug cloud stacks and manage cloud infrastructure.
Technical Expertise:
•Familiar with Oracle Database as a Service (ODaaS), Enterprise SQL Server Database Services (ESDBS), Security-Threat Assessment and Review Services (S-TARS), and Rapid Application Deployment and Resilience (RADAR) services.
•Strong understanding of cloud platforms and services.
•Proficient in DevSecOps practices and automation tools.
Qualifications:
•Proven experience in cloud architecture and cloud service delivery models.
•Strong analytical skills to provide recommendations for cloud migration and deployment.
•Experience in developing strategies for cloud service failure/recovery and cost optimization.
