POSITION TITLE:    Central Office Receptionist

 

FLSA:                       Non-Exempt

 

REPORTS TO:         Assistant Superintendent

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a full-time 240 day contract and salary is based on the Receptionist Salary Schedule.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Experience working in a professional office setting.
  3. Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook) and Google (docs, sheets, drive, calendar, contacts, slides)
  4. Highly motivated with strong organizational skills; able to coordinate multiple tasks at one time.
  5. Self-starter; able to work independently.
  6. Strong telephone and interpersonal communication skills.
  7. APSCN experience is a plus.
  8. Bilingual is a plus.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Answer phone, receive messages, and respond to inquiries by staff, parents, or patrons of the district.
  2. Greet the public and staff and direct them to the correct staff member.
  3. Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail.
  4. File and sort paperwork.
  5. Fax, scan, copy, and email documents.
  6. Input data for recordkeeping in multiple software systems.
  7. Receive payments, write receipts, and enter information into computer software system. 
  8. District Homeschool Coordinator.
  9. Type and/or draft letters of correspondence.
  10. Maintain and order supplies; organize storage areas.
  11. Update and maintain vendor information within the computer software system.
  12. Perform work related errands as requested such as going to the post office and bank.
  13. Assist with onboarding as needed. (Background checks, fingerprinting)

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Maintain confidentiality
  2. Attend meetings and training as directed.
  3. Present and communicate in a professional manner.
  4. Work additional hours or overtime as directed.
  5. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
