Child Care Worker

Silly Billies Together has 4 locations helping children from ages 3 months to 11 years old. We offer Preschool Promise, after school care, infants and toddlers, and childcare. We are looking for an infant and toddler teacher to assist at our Springfield center.

We tend to be flexible on work schedule as long as there is good communication. We have several teachers that have students in Silly Billie sites. Silly Billies wants all teachers to grow with the program, offering trainings to expand your professional development.

Requirements -

• Oregon registry background check (or willing to obtain)
• Food handlers card (or willing to obtain)
• Updated First aid and CPR certified (or willing to obtain)
• Child care health and safety trainings (or willing to obtain)
• Signed up for The Oregon Registry (with a step preferably)
• Preferably experience in childcare or teaching

Physical Requirements-

- Must be able to go for walks with children

- Must be able to lift above 40 pounds

- Must be able to lift, move up and down, and sit with children

Responsibilities-

• Clearly communicate with Staff and Parents about students well being
• Maintain a clean hygiene when working with children and food
• Supervise and monitor the safety of children
• Change infants and toddlers diapers
• Assist children (bathroom, Washing hands, reading books, or jackets)
• Prepare and organize food during meal times
• Stay on a schedule and class routine
• Actively engage with children
• Assist teachers with lesson plans and during teacher led activities

Skills-

• Reliable and ability to show up onetime or notify supervisor in advance
• Friendly to children, staff, and parents
• Communication
