Quality Assurance Technician
Silgan Dispensing Systems is looking to add experienced Quality Assurance Technicians to our off-shift crew team in Macedonia, OH. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company with state of the art equipment & facilities where employees are valued, involved, and empowered.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform inspection activities including:
- Receiving Inspection
- 1st article inspection
- In-process Inspections
Document inspection results into ERP system
Perform measurements through use of various measurement devices
Perform internal audits and/or 6S audits
Control & isolate nonconforming product
Participate in Material Review Board (MRB)
Create Quality Alerts as needed
Participate in Supplier and Internal Corrective Actions
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Ability to work 3rd shift; and other shifts if needed
High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree not required but a plus
1 to 3 years of injection molding experience
Ability to evaluate color visually and with measurement devices
Ability to read basic blue prints
Ability to use basic measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, etc.
Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
CMM/VMM Experience a plus but not required
ERP system experience a plus but not required
Experience with Lean a plus but not required
